February Favorites

Off Duty / On Style

Welcome back to my second monthly favorites post on #OffDutyOnStyle! I honestly do not know what happened to February since it kind of just slipped by. However, there was still enough time to rack up plenty of favorites for this month.

This picture has two favorites in one. The first is the tank top with the names of current top models listed on it. The material of this tank is much more soft and comfortable than I expected especially for it being from Amazon. The second favorite is the black sweatshirt, which was a style deal from Forever 21. If you ask me, everyone should have a basic black hoodie like this in their wardrobe. It’s super easy to throw on and goes with everything! Both of these pieces are great for going to my theatre classes, working out or lazy days.

Fresh Sugar lip treatments are a savior for lips lacking moisture and some of them even provide a perfect tint of color. For instance, Honey is a beautiful nude shade! These are absolutely essential during the winter and I seriously need to collect more!

This was a Valentine’s Day gift from my boyfriend and not something I ever really thought of buying, but wow am I glad he stumbled on it! The Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Major Volume mascara does everything you want your mascara to do. It lengthens, volumizes and has a strong black color. I’m not usually one for high-end mascaras, but this one is definitely worth the investment!

I actually won this perfume for free from a Twitter contest so I was not sure what to expect but I LOVE this perfume. I Am Real by maurices has a floral and fresh smell with a hint of citrus, making it perfect for a daily scent. This is my current go-to fragrance! It is also very inexpensive.

Clinique pep-start is a product that is a lifesaver for a college student or anyone who has their schedule overflowing. One thing I want to make clear is that this product does not fix dark circles, but I have noticed an improvement in the quality of the skin under my eyes after using this likely due to the amount of moisture this product provides. It also really does brighten the area around your eyes making you look more awake and it works well as a primer for concealer. This has become as essential to me as my cup of morning coffee!

I received a trial size of Victoria’s Secret hydrating body lotion with coconut milk awhile ago and this was one of those cases where the sample got me addicted. I bought this bottle for around $8, which is good since lotion usually lasts me awhile. This lotion is unique in how it seeps into your skin and does not make you feel oily. The smell is also delightful.

These Thai sweet chili veggie burgers from Trader Joe’s have awesome flavor, different from what veggie burgers typically have. They are also a great quick, easy meal to make.

Another food favorite that I have is two new drinks from Starbucks. The first is the molten chocolate latte, which was unfortunately temporary, but it was a perfectly sweet treat! However, it was shortly thereafter replaced with the smoked butterscotch latte, which I also love! The smoked butterscotch latte adds the perfect twist on a classic latte with the right amount of sweetness for more routine drinking.

Fading Through by Wafia featuring Vancouver Sleep Clinic creates an eerie ambiance but in a good way. I am in love with this song and the power it creates.

I do not know why I had not heard I Found by Amber Run until now, but I was definitely missing out. The harmonization is stunning. “I found love where it wasn’t supposed to be…”

Jetta’s I’d Love to Change the World is perfect for getting pumped on a Friday night. When the beat drops, it drops hard in this one.

The Once musical and movie soundtracks have been a rediscovered favorite for me. I have seen this production before, but this past month I got tickets to see it again in April. I am also performing songs from it in my musical theatre class. I honestly think this is an album everyone would enjoy since it is not typical “musical” style. Highlights from the album include Falling Slowly, The Hill and Leave.

Well, that’s a wrap, it’s crazy how fast this month has flown by! Let’s keep making the most of every single day. Check back with me next month to see what I’m loving!
