September Favorites

Off Duty / On Style

Surprise! September’s favorites are arriving a bit early this month! I was just so excited to show you all what I have been loving for this first month back on the college grind. September has been crazy with school starting back up, two new jobs (Collegiate Representative at The New York Times and Sales Associate at White House Black Market) while also still continuing my other internships and commitments. It looks like my senior year will definitely not be lacking in excitement. Now let’s get into the favorites!

FASHION

My Lokai bracelet has rarely left my wrist this month. For those unfamiliar, the Lokai bracelets have one end infused with mud from the Dead Sea and the other end infused with water from Mount Everest. It is meant to symbolize that without having lows in life we cannot truly appreciate the highs. It is a good constant reminder for me that even as things get rough, there is good waiting on the other side. They come in array of colors, my pink one is for breast cancer awareness. Stay humble and hopeful #livelokai.

SKINCARE

The Cup O’ Coffee face and body mask from Lush is every coffee lover’s dream. It smells just like coffee as it is made from coffee grounds. It leaves your skin feeling refreshed, tingly and more energized afterward.

BEAUTY

The NYX lip lingerie matte lip glosses are absolute perfection. They stay on for around 12 hours and leave a matte finish that is not drying. It honestly doesn’t even feel like you have anything on your lips. The shades in this collection come in a range of nudes, which is my favorite lip color to wear.

FOOD

These are Belgian chocolate bars from Trader Joe’s. They come in a pack of three for under $2 and are available in milk and dark chocolate. These are great to have on hand for a sweet treat since they are not too big.

This granola is a longtime favorite of mine. The maple pecan flavor is simple, but it adds a lot to my greek yogurt that I eat for breakfast. Not to mention that it lasts awhile due to its decent size.

TV SHOW

I finally finished watching the entire series of Gilmore Girls and now I can’t wait for the Netflix reboot to arrive! If you haven’t taken the time to watch this show, I definitely recommend it. You really become invested in the character’s storylines as the show goes on.

MUSIC

Coast Modern is awesome! Unfortunately, they only have one EP available on Spotify so they better release more tracks soon. I am obsessed with Guru and Hollow Life.

Sensation by Cherub is fun and vibrant. It’s different from their stuff in the past, but keeps the infectious beat and energy.

I’ll Be Your Reason by Illenium starts off slow and melodic, but then transitions into a strong dance beat. You don’t want to miss this one.

I saw The Chainsmokers in concert at the beginning of the month and it was absolutely incredible. They did an awesome mashup of Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics that I wish they would officially release. But for another choice, I also fell even more in love with Until You Were Gone when they performed it.

Well, that’s a wrap, thank you so much for reading! What have you been loving lately? Tell me in the comments!

xx,

Kelsey Knepler
