August is a very bittersweet month as summer ends and school begins. This year was particularly unique for me as I celebrated my 21st birthday and I am going back to school for the last time as this is my senior year. Book Review: The Secret

It’s totally cliche but this book changed my life. I have been trying to make changes and adjust to fit a more positive lifestyle for awhile now. I even wrote an article about it for The Tab (see here). I had made a lot of improvements, but The Secret by Rhonda Byrne really secured and locked in all of these changes I was making. Internships: My Tips and Secrets

If you’ve been following along closely then you saw that last week I did a post about tips on navigating New York and living in the city (see that post here). However, I wanted to do a separate post about internships in general. I am a huge believer in the importance of internships, I am a campus ambassador for the Intern Queen, Lauren Berger, who famously had 15 internships in college. She’ll tell you herself that no one needs that many, but that it is critical to have at least two. Internships are great because they give you a chance to see what jobs are available in more of a real-world setting than a classroom. Continue reading

Lessons Learned: My NYC Summer

After spending over two months in New York City, I have learned a lot about both myself and the city. I came to New York not really scared honestly, but more just nervous. What if I didn’t fit in the city like I thought I would? What if I find out this all isn’t for me and I have to start over? Luckily, both of these were quickly proven wrong. For those of you considering moving or having an extended visit to NYC, here are some things that I learned based on my experience.
